Land suitability in sustainable cultivation practices for porang (Amorphophallus oncophyllus L.) in Pasuruan Regency, Indonesia

Porang (Amorphophallus oncophyllus L.) stands as a prominent agricultural product in Indonesia. As the demand for porang continues to grow, it becomes crucial balance with expansion of suitable land cultivation. The selection appropriate crop planting requires thorough analysis feasibility, commonly known suitability assessment. This study aims evaluate identify limiting factors, and explore potential solutions sustainable cultivation Sumberejo Village, Pasuruan, East Java. research was employed by matching method assessment based on climatic, physical, chemical data. development map achieved through overlay various stages using characteristic information. findings reveal that residents' lands fall within actual classes S3 (suitable marginal) N (not suitable), base saturation (nr3) slope (eh) identified primary factors.
